Maintenance

All our surfaces are a minimum depth of 125mm once compacted and harrowed for use, with the exception of Gallop Turf that is 160mm deep.

All dry pre mixed surfaces require irrigation during dry periods to keep them firm, prevent the surface from riding deep and to reduce the risk of the sand and fibres from separating. If a surface is very dry it is advisable not to harrow as this will pull the fibres out of the sand. Simply roll the surface with a flat roll, and try to irrigate the surface before harrowing again. Waxed pre mixed surfaces require no irrigation to keep them firm and will resist frost. The wax coatings increase traffic loads a surface will withstand offering less maintenance on busy Arenas, Gallops and Lunge Rings.
