Leisure Ride has given Michael Peace of Think Equus a new Jump Turf surface for his schooling ring, where he works his magic with troubled horses to give them confidence and reassurance of themselves to become better adapted to the rigors of competition and general handling.
Michael chose the Jump Turf for its increased cushioning over conventional waxed surfaces as the unique polymer used in the Turf range of surfaces does not become over compacted by the horses even after prolonged use, as with some waxed surfaces. The polymer can prevent a surface from freezing down to -15C. This makes the surface more usable during winter.
The unique polymer holds the surface together without affecting the drainage characteristics of the sand or other surface components, and this in turn improves winter usage.
