Is a blend of soft PVC flakes and mixed fibre with a wax coating to bind sand.
The hot wax used to produce our premixed surfaces has been added to this blend to help bind the fibres and sand and tighten a surface up. This increases traffic loads yet still retains cushioning through the fibres. By incorporating our unique soft PVC flakes in to the mix to aid surface drainage, Wax fibre gives you all the benefits of a premixed waxed surface without the need to remove your existing sand surface. Simply add to the top and mix it in.
The wax coating helps prevent dust from becoming airborne and reduces the possibility that a surface may require irrigating during dry periods. Wax coatings can also help prevent freezing in winter.
With any surface to reduce the risk of freezing we advise harrowing to loosen the top as often as possible during cold below zero temperatures.
