Improve your arena for as little as £500
At Leisure Ride we understand riders and their needs – as well as understanding their constraints. After all, we’re horse people ourselves and operate from a working dressage and livery yard.
We know that horses are an expensive pastime: feed, farrier, vet, livery, transport – the list is endless and we know that sometimes your arena becomes the poor cousin way down the to-do list.
But an arena can be significantly improved – and have it’s life massively extended, at very low cost if you know how:
A single bale of Trojan hair fibre costs less than £500 and will treat a 20 x 40 sand school riding too deep – hair fibre binds the sand to stiffen the surface up. It goes miles. We can install or it can be done by yourself with the right equipment and instructions from us.
Sometimes the surface is fine, but it just needs re-levelling – where we will lift up the existing surface and re-lay it again nice and flat. This costs from £650 and can take less than a day.
If a surface is sand based but lacking structure or bounce then a few bales of Trojan gallop fibre will do the trick. It’s only £180 a bale and 8-10 bales will do a 20 x 40. Our Trojan poly fibre is a more premium product which will do the same.
So if you’ve got an arena thats playing up, or are planning your own budget riding arena call us to check out the options, including how we can give you a properly mixed and tested 20×40 sand and fibre surface with no nasties in it for under £8k – no hard sell, just honest advice from horsey people like yourself.
Hello Dubai
We’ve just got back from Dubai in the last couple of weeks where we attended the 10th Dubai International Horse Fair as well as performing some arena and racetrack consultancy work for various clients. As riding arena and racing surface specialists we know and understand how arenas perform in different climates. For example, an arena or racing gallops in Dubai where the air temperature can reach 50c and racing surface could cook at 75c needs a different approach to one in UK which may have to effectively operate between 32c and minus 10c. Leisure Ride Group has operations in Ireland, Finland and Dubai as well as the UK – so we consider ourselves pretty expert at getting a racing surface at peak performance no matter what the climate. We have specialist irrigation and surface additive technologies developed for riding arena surfaces in dustier, warmer climates to ensure ample irrigation without the need for excessive watering – to find out more for your Dubai Racetrack surface or Gallops just ask
